Meaning.
The material world does not make sense because it does not match our wishes. We struggle with just about everything because our senses are not powerful. They cannot find meaning.
Ask yourself what is it that you value? Not in a simplistic way, but in a genuine understanding within your own existence. What in the world do you value?
Once you begin to look at and study whatever it is, do you follow whatever it is?
Ask yourself why do I value this or that?
Is the value ginned up by the ego?
By your upbringing?
By the experiences of life?
Were you born seeking this value?
Did someone point out to you that you are valuable when you make a claim of such a value?
What would it be like if you decided there is nothing of value that will sate the desires of the ego.
A follow-up consideration is to ask yourself what is the attitude you cherish and carry with you on a daily basis? Do you know what your attiude is like?
What is it that you use to understand in existence as a human being?
Suggestion: However and whatever you may understand about the twinkling lights in the dark ask these three questions:
What is behind the apparent world?
Do you attend to your interior world when seeking value, to realize value and to experience value?
And finally, are you willing and able to get to nothing of value?
The last point is to be ready to participate fully in what shows up without measure.
Don’t Give Up. Practice.
