Be honest with yourself. Make every effort to move along with the stream of life knowing and recognizing change.
Recognize anytime you find yourself headed “somewhere” you lose the flow.
When you feel stuck do not give up. Do not make excuses for the mess you are in. Admit where you are without blaming yourself or others. Take responsibility for how you got stuck.
The method practiced is in the moment which returns you to the stream of life. You come together with the current that is ever moving and ever present and go with the flow without blame or shame.
Withdraw any trace of ‘you” through the practice of recognition. The recognition is to recall and recognize the temporary reality of the material world. Withdraw your wishes & hopes to make something out of the changing world. Do not grab’
Depend on your power to stop self-recrimination. You do not need to do much of wanting, getting, & having. Make an effort to swivel and depend on your power of decision to give and give and give without reward.
Do not over analyze what comes into your life. When you feel irritable make the effort to be silent and still. Notice what you think and feel without identifying with these senses.
Make an effort to stop reactive impulses which leave a bad taste and smell.
When you find yourself annoyed you ultimately will feel worse.
Encourage yourself by accepting the mistakes and harm you bring upon yourself. Reflect on what shows up before you react.
Recall the Zen Master who said to his student, “Attention. Attention. Attention.”
YES! Pay attention to what shows up in your life right where you are.
